Blog 280120 – Climate Change Deniers? Idiocy!
In my
Facebook page I have seen so many comments from deniers who simply don’t
believe in climate change. They have berated the extinction protestors, the
school protestors, the protestors of the Adani coal…. But I don’t think they
have read anything they should read. This climate change is HAPPENING.
If you
believe in climate change, then pass this on to anyone you know who doesn’t
believe in it. The stuff listed on here are REAL.
In 1955 the
California Institute of Technology geochemists had found that fossil fuel
combustion had increased the concentration of atmospheric carbon by about 5%.
This started the climate change event.
1957,
Humble Oil scientists published a study analysing the “enormous quantity of
carbon dioxide” since the Industrial Revolution
1968,
Stamford Research Institute with API concluded that burning fossil fuels could
bring “significant temperature changes” by 2000
1977, the
American Geophysical Union predicted that fossil fuels would have to be
restricted either by taxation of fiat
1977-78,
the Jasons’ report to the Department of Energy was titled “The Long-Term Impact
of Atmospheric Carbon Dioxide on Climate”
1979,
Jule Charney, considered to be the “Father of Modern Meteorology” said “A
wait-and-see policy may mean waiting until it is too late.”
1979, Rafe
Pomerance read a report to the government which noted that “the continued use
of fossil fuels might, within 2-3 decades, bring about ‘significant and
damaging’ changes to the global atmosphere”
1980,
Jesse Ausubel, NAS, said “What do you do when the past is no longer a guide to
the future?”
1980,
President Carter signed the 1980 Energy Security Act and directed the National
Academy of Science to start a multicultural study. He attended a meeting in
Florida with Exxon.
1980 was
40 years ago. It’s now up to the deadline. 2025 is part of the Kyoto agreement
and yet Aus and USA have backed away from it. WHY??
There are

believe in climate change. Have a look at these:

The
Oxford Academic BioScience said: “Scientists
have a moral obligation to clearly warn humanity of any catastrophic threat and
to ‘tell it like it is.’ On the basis of this obligation and the graphical
indicators presented below, we declare, with more than 11,000 scientist
signatories from around the world, clearly and unequivocally that planet
Earth is facing a climate emergency.”
Everyone on this Earth should know and agree
with that. Unfortunately there are too many who simply don’t want to.
The change in climate in the last 100 years shows
in the graphs taken by different groups. They know this. Have a look!
Why don’t you agree with this? Why won’t you do
anything you can to stop this emergency? Why do you berate the protestors? Why
don’t you agree with this?
60 years ago this was identified. 40 years ago
this was predicted. Now the time has come forward. The end of the fight might
be 2025. Do you understand what that means? It means that in 2025 we can’t
change it back to a decent temperature. It means flooding, drought, heat, dust
clouds, Arctic and glaciers draining. It means that beaches are already losing
their banks. It means that beachsides, in 5 years or 10 years will be no longer
ready for accommodation.
Please believe it, because it is definitely
happening. We just need to find a solution. Share this with your friends and encourage
ALL to believe.
